Dr. Daniel H. Kellum Jr

Daniel H. Kellum, Jr., M.D.

Family Medicine

Born and raised in San Antonio Texas where he graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1983. He attended and received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in 1987. Following his undergraduate completion, Dr. Kellum attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he graduated in 1991. Dr. Kellum successfully completed his Family Practice Residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in 1994. Dr. Kellum is married and he has four sons. In his spare time, Dr. Kellum enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Arthur Gonzales MD

Arthur Gonzales, M.D.

Dr. Arthur Gonzales is available and honored to assist you and your family at our Kellum Family Medicine and Wellness facilities in Schertz, Texas. Originally from Junction, Texas, Dr. Gonzales first obtained his pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a university honors student. While working as a pharmacist, he continued his education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Medical School and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2006. Though he has a special interest and extra training in anesthesia, primary care and family practice became his chosen path.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Gonzales enjoys exercising, jogging, weightlifting, and reading on many topics including the Bible, classical Greek and Roman history. His most enjoyable and gratifying experiences are derived from the time spent with his beautiful wife Jennifer and three sons Eric, Matthew, and Nicholas of 18, 16, and 7 years of age, respectively.

Lisa Gurwitz, M.D.(OB/GYN)

Dr. Lisa Gurwitz received her undergraduate degree in biology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She then attended medical school at the University of Kansas, graduating in 1990. She elected to stay in Kansas City and completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Gurwitz moved to San Antonio in 1995 and began her career in women’s health. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Gurwitz enjoys spending free time with her friends and family, serving as an alumni ambassador for Denison University,  learning to play golf and, and volunteering at the food bank

 

Art Campsey PA

Art Campsey is a native San Antonian and graduated from Health Careers High School in 1998. Art holds a BS in Exercise Sport Science from Texas State University and a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Prior to completing his MPAS, Art spent eight years teaching high school biology and coaching athletics, where he realized the importance of clear communication, compassion for others and a love of giving. Now Art applies those skills daily, with his patients and co-workers alike, and is thrilled to be part of the Kellum Family Medicine team. Art is a member of AAPA and TAPA, and is on the Board of Directors for Bexar County Physician Assistant Society where he serves as CME co-chair. Art is also co-founder and operations director of Global Health Reach (www.ghrus.org), a non-profit organization that provides health care to underserved third-world populations.

Sofia Luna, PA

Sofia comes to us from the Rio Grande Valley and brings 18 years of experience in Family Practice.  She is fluent in English and Spanish.  She is personable, a good listener and is focused on providing quality care for her patients.   While in the valley, she focused on the treatment of diabetes, hypertension hypercholesterolemia, COPD, CAD and other diseases related to complications resulting from metabolic syndrome.  She also has extensive practice in the area of pediatrics and adolescent medicine including well child/adolescent exams, screening sports physicals, and infant care and nutrition.

Sofia graduated from The University of Texas at Pan American with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.  She was certified by the NCCPA in 2004. During her undergraduate studies, Sofia served as a teacher’s assistant for introductory biology lab courses where she developed an interest in research.  She has been involved in multiple ongoing studies related to the treatment of diabetes in obese patients under the age of 45.

Sofia is a grandmother and loves to spend her spare time spoiling her grandchildren.   She loves to cook and is a dedicated wife and mother.  Sofia  gives God the glory for her many blessings.

Sara Akin, FNP

Sara Akin is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Growing up in San Antonio, Sara developed a passion for serving the Alamo city and surrounding area. She followed this passion to the University of the Incarnate Word where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.

Following school, Sara gained experience in multiple areas including Telemetry and Women’s Health. Sara continued her growth as a healthcare provider by attending the University of Texas at Arlington to earn her Master’s of Science in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner. Sara is very excited and humbled to be able to serve you and be part of such a wonderful team at Kellum! In her free time Sara enjoys hiking, traveling, and cooking with her husband and two cattle dogs!

Brandi Breuer

Brandi Breuer is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She began her career as a licensed practical nurse before moving on to achieve her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Concordia College in St. Paul, MN. After 10 years Brandi went on to achieve her Advanced Practice Registered Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner degree through Purdue University. Brandi has a passion for caring for others and works to empower patients within their healthcare at Kellum. 

 

Brandi grew up in Minnesota prior to making San Antonio her home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, hot yoga, traveling and reading. 

Clarissa Richard, PA-C

Clarissa Richard has been a practicing family medicine physician assistant since 2015. She has focused on preventative care and promoting healthy lifestyles in her patients as her primary focus. She has found joy in teaching and serving as a preceptor for physician assistant students from UT Health San Antonio’s PA program, as well as for family nurse practitioner students from UT Arlington and Corpus Christi A&M programs.

She graduated with her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from UT Health San Antonio in 2015 and received her bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2012.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading thriller fiction books, binging on a good TV show, and spending time with her husband and 3 dogs.

 

 

Lauren Hatherall, D.O.

Dr. Lauren Hatherall was born and raised in San Antonio and completed undergraduate and medical degrees at University of Incarnate Word. Dr. Hatherall was also a collegiate soccer player for UIW. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas. Dr. Hatherall has a special interest in community health, disease prevention, and building meaningful doctor-patient relationships.
She is married with 2 children, Molly and Archie. When not working, she loves spending time with her family, cooking and baking, hiking, exercising, and trying new restaurants.

Allison Ogle D.O.

Dr. Allison Ogle was born and raised in Boerne where she graduated from Boerne High School in 2008. She then completed her undergraduate degree at Schreiner University followed by a master’s degree and medical school both at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She then completed her family medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo where she was chief resident in her final year. She is excited to be back in the Hill Country and humbled to be serving her home community.

Dr. Ogle resides in Boerne with her husband and newborn son. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family including her cat and dog, being outdoors, baking, reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
